She put 200 young boys and girls, who came for audition, to an ultimate litmus test and asked them to kiss random people from the opposite sex. The one who does it perfectly gets the role because Ekta’s new show requires intimate scenes. However, many who had come for the audition were taken aback and decided to walk off. But some courageous aspirants gave it a try.

It’s reported that 83 couples were shortlisted. Adam Bedi, his wife Nisha (in the pic) and MTV Splitsvilla 2 winner Sakshi Pradhan were some of the actors who didn’t give kiss the miss.

The incident has been confirmed by the project head, Vikas Gupta, but he is not ready to divulge any details, just like his master, Ekta.

The show is learnt to be Ekta’s pet project and she is closely watching every actor’s performance. When quizzed by a daily about this latest development, she said, “Right now, all I will say is that I am creating a new medium and this is not anything cheap but something very classy waiting to happen.”

Does that also mean no more Saans-bahu nautanki?
