The latest drama is that last week Jon Gosselin called Kate and absentee mom and is filing for full custody. Kate has been using this as her sympathy card saying how sad she is and that a custody battle shouldn’t play out in front of cameras. She’s right about that, but if she weren’t so out in the public eye it wouldn’t be a public custody battle. Jon’s pulling a dick move by calling names and filing for custody… but I will say that TLC kinda forced him to and left him unable to earn money. Kate’s brother Kevin and his wife Jodi were very involved in the kids’ lives growing up. Kate admits she hasn’t let them see the kids in 2 years… very sad and tragic given how close the family was. I wonder how the kids feel or will feel about this. There was one set of pictures from last fall showing Kevin & Jodi coming to the house on Jon’s time. Supposedly TLC offered to pay Jodi and Kevin since they were doing so much filming with the kids… but when Kate found out about this she threw a fit, said they were the only stars, they should get all the money, and cut all ties with her brother & family.
