When you were a teenager in a small country village back in the 1960s, finding ways to earn money was a bit tricky. On one occasion, my enterprise almost got me entangled with an older married woman!

Great story. Thanks for sharing it.
What an awesome story! I’m half british and I love to listen to my grandad tell stories about when he was growing up in England… I’ll have to show him your channel.
BRILL!
I loved hearing about that little bit of your life! Thank you!
I enjoyed your story. At about the same time I was making money in the US by inviting all the kids in the neighborhood over to my house on Saturday mornings to watch my family’s collection of 35mm cartoons. One dime to get in and another dime for popcorn. I made enough to buy skiis. No close encounters for me, though.
Ha! That’s crazy! Another gooder, Frank.
Geh! Frank’s story is way better than that trash-heap of a show. (IMO)
Good story once again, Frank. I remember spending my youth in the late ’50s and early ’60s combing my neighborhood, offering to mow lawns, wash cars, do the chores nobody wanted to do but which needed doing anyway, things like that, often talking to the sometimes lonely wives who stayed home cleaning and cooking while their husbands slaved away at work. I remember this one near entanglement myself … ah, but that story is for another day.
Sounds like it is about time you enlightened us with some of your own stories on Youtube.
As soon as I can get my webcam working properly in Linux, I plan on starting to do just that, also some video of my two macaws. Not to compete with your lovely Charlie, nothing can do that. He was a very special budgie.
What an industrious boy you were; and so handsome. No wonder the lonely lady wanted you in her garden, so to speak. I remember collecting soda bottles for the return money, people would leave them all over the beach and we piled them in an old baby carriage and carted them back to the Mom and Pop Deli’s.
I love how descriptive you are when telling these stories! Id be scared if someone old enough to be my mom was hitting on me too! Did her husband ever find out about this?
…and the moral of the story…a gardener can pull more than just weeds!
My gosh, you look like a Frank. A what a handsome young man
Thanks for another great story, Frank. More than a couple of situations you described that I could relate to from my teenage years.
,what a square. any teen would hop into bed with any chick in my younger days, no matter what age.
gotta post a response to this soon. you’ve inspired me to tell tales of my delinquent youth in sth. australia , ‘ 55 to ’60. won’t be as innocent as yours though.guess you edit it so your grandkids don’t get any bright ideas.
Will look forward to the response.
I don’t edit anything about my life out, I just tell it like it is (now where have I heard that before on YT?). I’ve watched others smoke, drink, promiscuate and take drugs etc., but none of that stuff interested me.
gumleyboy,oh, jesu, thou hath just turned me off the idea. no fun sendin’ you up. too bland.
I’m not surprised at that after watching one of your videos! We are as different as chalk and cheese my freind. Neither no worse nor better than the other. Strange how something in my video struck a chord with you though, caused you to comment, subscribe and think of posting a response. I would still like to see it!
Growing up in Germany in the 1960s & 70s, I remember us kids setting up a little beach blanket thrift shop outside of our local grocery store. We’d have all sorts of little things, like comic books, small toys or other things that would be of use only to other kids. Our prices were very reasonable, but most of the money was made with housewives who were doing their shopping inside the store, who gave us some change, almost always declining to take our merchandise. It was well worth our while.
Interesting little story – I can just imagine that stall of yours.
Once when I was at a carboot sale, I came across a young girl who was selling off all her books she grew out of. Her stall was so well laid out, and she gave me all the background stories to the books I looked at. I ended up buying from her – not because I wanted the books, but because she was so charming!
You are a very nice person. It is very rare to find a very nice safe person. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the compliment Iris. I don’t think any of my videos would offend anyone.
