Mohammad Rafi Saab was born in Kotla Sultan Sing, a town near Amritsar In Punjab, in 1924.( b4 the partition). He is a Punjabi-Muslim ( Indian of course) ……his family shifted to Lahore and later they shifted to Bombay – the rest is History…..

@TheDiamondRafi – what does it mean to be born behind a line than men made to say you are in country X or country Y? Fact is he was one of the best, and we are fortunate to have enjoyed his voice. Where he hails from makes no difference to me. Just for clarity I am not from India or Pakistan. Like you I am another of the Earth’s citizen.
